Chikwawa tragedy: Police hunt for sons who set father on FIRE

Police in Chikwawa are searching for two brothers, Richard Genti, 30, and Penda Genti, 25, accused of setting their 63-year-old father, Tobias Genti, on fire.

The incident occurred on Monday evening at Richard’s home in Kaboko Village, where the father was visiting.

The brothers allegedly accused their father of witchcraft, assaulted him, dragged him outside, poured petrol on him, and set him ablaze.

Tobias’s wife intervened, rescuing him, but he sustained severe burns and is being treated at Ngabu Rural Hospital.

Authorities are actively pursuing the suspects.
