Two year old girl dies in an accident
A 2-year-old girl, known as Grace Makano, has died after being struck by a lorry in Chiphaso, Kasungu.
Chifundo Nedi, the Assistant Public Relations Officer for the Kasungu Police, reported that the toddler was hit by a vehicle operated by Robert Chinguwe.
Nedi stated that the lorry involved is a Toyota Dyna (MZ 3315) that was traveling from Kasungu town towards the Chayamba trading centre.
According to Nedi, Makano was in the process of crossing the road when she was hit, resulting in severe head injuries, and she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
In light of this incident, the Kasungu police have urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their children, particularly in areas near roadways.
