Mutharika urges Malawi military to be proffesional
President Peter Mutharika has pledged to ensure the safety and security of Malawians through a collaborative approach between security agencies and communities.
Speaking at an event, Mutharika, Commander-In-Chief of the Malawi Defence Force, emphasized modernizing MDF with advanced technology to combat modern threats.
He advised newly commissioned officer cadets to uphold their Oath of Office, defend the Constitution, and remain professional, refraining from politics.
Mutharika also reaffirmed Malawi’s commitment to international peacekeeping and regional stability, tackling cross-border threats like terrorism and human trafficking.
