Men arrested for killing a thief

Police in Phalombe have apprehended three individuals for the alleged murder of a 23-year-old man, who was reportedly caught attempting to steal a motorcycle in Gowero village, located in the Mulanje district.

According to the spokesperson, Jimmy Kapanja the victim was believed to be a repeat offender.

The three suspects are expected to appear in court shortly to respond to the charges brought against them.

The police have named the suspects as Erick Samvala, 27, from John Village, Traditional Authority (TA) Ndanga, Chikondi Damiano, 24, and Glaston Katandika, who resides in Gowero Village under TA Nkanda in Mulanje.
