Machinda gives birth to three children in Thyolo

A 19-year-old woman identified as Christina Machinda, has given birth to triplets at Thyolo District Hospital, Malawi Data News has learnt.

Machinda, from Mchenga Village, Traditional Authority Mbawela, delivered the babies on Monday night.

The hospital says Machinda’s needs have suddenly increased, and they’re appealing for support.

“The mother’s immediate needs include clothes, wrappers (zitenje), baby clothes, soap, and food,” says Dr. Milliam Jere Nyasulu, Director of Health Services for Thyolo District.

As Malawi celebrates Christmas, the hospital is calling on well-wishers to assist the new mother.
