Man dies after a terrible accident
A man named Ruben Mwale Mvula has passed away after suffering head injuries in a traffic accident at Ipyana in the Karonga District.
As reported by Margret Msiska, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for Karonga Police, Mvula was operating a seven-tonne Isuzu lorry with registration number NA 2546, traveling from the direction of Karonga TTC towards Ipyana while transporting stone exploration equipment in the back of the vehicle.
Msiska stated that Mvula allegedly lost control of the lorry while going down the slope of Karonga TTC due to a brake failure. He then jumped from the moving vehicle and fell onto the tarmac road, resulting in head injuries.
Mvula, who was originally from Kande in the Nkhata Bay District, was subsequently taken to Karonga District Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
