“I have been thrown into the bin” – Ansah

Malawi’s Vice President, Jane Ansah, has expressed concern that she feels marginalized by certain officials within the government led by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in fulfilling her official duties.

Ansah acknowledges that she knows the individuals she believes are responsible for what she refers to as attempts to exclude her from various government functions, but she asserts that their actions will not deter her from performing her Vice Presidential responsibilities.

The Vice President has also emphasized that her relationship with President Peter Mutharika is amicable and that there are no issues between them.

Nonetheless, she points out that there exists a specific group within the government and the DPP that is reportedly trying to undermine and diminish the significance of her office’s work.
