Mipando replaces Malata as MUST Vice Chancellor

President Peter Mutharika has appointed Associate Professor Mwapatsa Humble Christoper Mipando as the new vice chancellor of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Mipando takes over from Professor Address Malata, who served as the first vice chancellor of MUST since its establishment in 2016.

This appointment has been officially confirmed in a statement signed by the Chairperson of the MUST Council, Noel Mkulichi.

Mkulichi also highlighted that Mipando’s appointment signifies a new era for MUST, as the university continues to enhance its contributions to Science, Technology, and Innovation.
