Braii? Two men arrested for selling dog meat

Police in Kasungu have arrested two men on suspicion of selling dog meat disguised as goat meat at Chisinga Trading Centre in the district.

The suspects are Chisomo Willard, 26, and his uncle Kenkere Nkhoma, 50, who is known locally as a _mang’ina_ seller.

According to Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kasungu Police, Sergeant Miracle Hauli, the two were caught in the act after an alert passerby heard a dog crying in distress at Chisinga Trading Centre.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted that the meat in their possession was from a dog.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
