Mary Chilima on plane crash witness list today

Mary Chilima, the spouse to the late Vice President Saulos Chilima, is expected to appear before the Parliamentary Committee on the Chikangawa plane crash inquiry today to give testimony regarding the plane crash that claimed the lives of her husband and eight others on 10 June 2024.

According to the committee’s witness schedule, Mary Chilima is expected to appear from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. as part of the ongoing public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the fatal military aircraft crash.

Earlier in the day, the committee is scheduled to hear testimony from Dr. Dokani Ngwira, the former Director General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Meanwhile the Committe is also expected to hear testimony to hear testimony from Mrs. Taona Aidin, the spouse to the late Major Wales Aidin, and Mrs Sarah Lapukeni, the spouse to the late Abdul Lapukeni.

The parliamentary committee continues to hear testimony from key witnesses and relatives of the victims as part of its inquiry , with the aim of establishing the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
