Teacher arrested for sending exam questions to partner
Police in Ntcheu have arrested Lucious Fatsani on suspicion of sharing a MANEB Biology examination paper with his partner before candidates sat for the examination.
Ntcheu Police spokesperson Jacob Khembo said Fatsani, who is a teacher at Lake View Secondary School in the district, allegedly sent the examination paper on 13 July.
He said the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) reported the matter to Ntcheu Police.
Khembo added that the suspect is believed to have used a Motorola mobile phone to send the examination paper, and the phone has since been seized by police as part of the investigation.
According to police, MANEB became aware of the alleged examination paper leak through social media before notifying Ntcheu Police, who launched an investigation that led to the teacher’s arrest.
