Veteran RSA actor Septula dies at 62

Veteran South African actor Septula Sebogodi has died at the age of 62 after complications related to diabetes.

According to the statement released by his family, the actor died on the evening of July 15, 2026.

Sebogodi was best known for playing Kenneth Mashaba in the popular SABC soapie Generations, a role that made him one of South Africa’s most recognised television actors.

He also appeared in several television series and films, including Rhythm City, The River, Scandal!, Mr. Bones and The Woman King.

He remained active in theatre, featuring in Black Moon this year.Sebogodi is being remembered as one of South Africa’s veteran actors whose work made a lasting contribution to the country’s film, television and theatre industry.
