Man kills another for having a relationship with his wife

Police in Mangochi have apprehended 29-year-old Jafali M’bwana from Chilipa, on charges of killing one 23-year-old Sumaila Aubrey after discovering him in a sexual encounter with his 38-year-old wife in their family residence.

Amina Tepani Daudi, the spokesperson for Mangochi Police, says that the incident took place at Stambuli Village, located in Traditional Authority Chimwala within the district.

Tepani Daudi stated that initial investigations revealed that the deceased, Aubrey, was engaged in a romantic relationship with the suspect’s wife, whom he allegedly visited under the impression that her husband was still in Lilongwe, where he had intended to spend the night.

She further explained that the suspect unexpectedly returned home around midnight, only to find the alleged act occurring in his house, which resulted in a confrontation and led to the deceased being stabbed multiple times. Despite fleeing the scene, he succumbed to his injuries.

A passer-by discovered his lifeless body, unclothed, the next morning and reported it to the Chilipa Police Unit. The suspect has confessed to stabbing the deceased and has now been charged with murder.
