Brian Banda dies!
Brian Banda, a seasoned journalist and the Director General of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), has died following a brief illness.
Banda was a highly skilled and award-winning journalist with a diverse career that included broadcasting, journalism, management, and public service.
He had previously held the position of Press Officer for former President Joyce Banda and later served as Press Secretary to former President Lazarus Chakwera.
Prior to his role as Director General of the state broadcaster during President Arthur Peter Mutharika’s administration, Banda returned to the Times Group, where he had dedicated a significant portion of his career, including various managerial positions.
