Adimaki arrested for stealing a motorcycle

Police in Balaka have arrested 29-year-old Kelvin Adimaki for allegedly robbing a motorcycle taxi operator.

According to police, Adimaki hired a kabaza to Kapandatsitsi Village for K17,000. Before reaching the destination, he stopped the operator, sprayed him with pepper spray, produced a toy gun and robbed him of the motorcycle.

Police recovered the motorcycle on Monday, August 10, 2026 during an intelligence-driven operation and arrested Adimaki.

The victim identified the motorcycle.Adimaki of Nkuli Village, T/A Nsamala, will appear in court soon on a robbery charge.

In the same operation, police also arrested 3 people found with suspected stolen ESCOM wires and aluminium pots, and another suspect found with 12 chickens and plastic baskets believed to have been stolen.
