Lawyer offers free service to suspected car thief

Lawyer and Dowa Kasangadzi Member of Parliament George Jivason Kadzipatike says he will defend Blessings Mbalagwe without charging him legal fee (pro bono) following his arrest over allegations that he stole a Nissan Navara vehicle in South Africa.

Kadzipatike said Mbalagwe was among people he met while they were in police custody in connection with tax-related matters.

Mbalagwe, aged 32, is suspected of stealing the vehicle and allegedly leaving it at his home in Nyemba Village under Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa District.

Police arrested Mbalagwe in Lilongwe at a place where he had allegedly been hiding.Meanwhile, he is expected to appear before the court soon.
