Neno woman jailed for raping young boy

The Magistrate’s Court in Neno has sentenced 24-year-old Teleza Steven 11 years, in prison for defiling a 17-year-old boy.

The court heard that on August 25 this year, Steven took the boy’s mobile phone to her home.

The boy followed her to collect his phone.Steven allegedly told the boy that his phone was on a table inside the house and instructed him to go and collect it.

When the boy entered the house, Steven reportedly locked the door, undressed him and had unlawful sexual intercourse with him.

After the incident, the boy experienced pain in his genital area and disclosed the matter to his mother.

The boy’s mother subsequently reported the matter to the police, leading to Steven’s arrest and prosecution.

The court later found Steven guilty of defilement and sentenced her to 132 months in prison.
