Chiradzulu woman poisons daughter

Police in Chiradzulu have arrested a 31 year old woman, Nduzayani Molesi, for allegedly poisoning her 15 year old daughter, Gloria Time.

Chiradzulu Police Public Relations Officer Hubert Mwangoka said the girl, who had a brain related condition, fell ill while returning from a funeral.

According to Mwangoka, Molesi stopped at a shop to buy medicine for her daughter, but people became suspicious after she bought insecticide instead.

Mwangoka said upon reaching home, Molesi took the girl into a room, claiming she wanted to give her the medicine. Shortly afterwards, the girl came out vomiting, while her mother allegedly prevented people from taking her to hospital.

The mother was later forced to take the girl to hospital, where she died.

Medical tests reportedly showed that the girl had ingested a poisonous substance.
