Jenda Courts sees massive facelift

Chief Justice Rezine Mzikamanda has inaugurated the renovated Jenda Magistrate Court in Mzimba, a K22 million initiative aimed at enhancing access to justice for the residents of this rapidly developing area.

During the launch event held in the Levi Jere area, Mzikamanda stated that the establishment of the court will bring judicial services closer to over 18,000 individuals in Jenda and its neighboring regions.

“This signifies that our objectives as a judiciary will be realized, as people will have easier access to justice,” he said.

In his address, Chief Chibeneka Jere emphasized that the facility will play a crucial role in tackling child marriage cases, which had previously been hindered by the distance to the courts.

Jenda Police Officer in Charge, Alexander Kaonga, noted that the new facility will alleviate the workload on police officers who had to travel to Mzimba Court approximately three times a week to manage cases.
