Dedza Dynamos have sponsorship by threads
Dedza Dynamos are at risk of losing their sponsorship from Goshen City over financial irregularities, unpaid salaries and governance wrangles, with the sponsor giving the club a 20-working-day ultimatum to address the concerns.
In an internal letter dated November 3 and signed by Director of Communication Aubrey Kusakala, the sponsor expressed frustration over the club’s failure to respond to an earlier letter dated October 26.
The letter sought explanations on payroll discrepancies, salary adjustments, recruitment and outstanding travelling allowances.
The sponsor says club employees remain unpaid because management has not resubmitted a corrected October payroll for approval.
However, it insists the delay is not a refusal to pay salaries.
Governance concerns include the appointment of a chief executive officer, dissolution of an independently elected executive committee, and appointment of a board of directors and head coach Eliya Kananji without prior consultation with the sponsor.
