Malawi Beach Soccer team learns of opponents

The Malawi National Beach Soccer Team has been placed in Group B for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), where they will compete against Morocco, Mauritania, and Angola.

The draw took place today in Cairo, Egypt, in anticipation of the tournament scheduled from November 28 to December 6 in Dakar, Senegal.

This marks the second occasion that Malawi has faced Morocco; the teams previously met during the 2022 tournament in Vilankulo, Mozambique, resulting in a 7–3 defeat for Malawi.

Mauritania was the runner-up at the 2024 edition held in Egypt, while Angola will be participating for the first time.
