Mutharika speaks against Lower Shire murders

President Peter Mutharika has denounced the mob killings and the dissemination of false rumors occurring in Chikwawa and Nsanje, where seven individuals have sadly lost their lives due to baseless claims of missing private parts.

Mutharika, via the Presidential Spokesperson Cathy Maulidi, has characterized these killings as profoundly regrettable and intolerable in today’s society.

She stated that the President has instructed law enforcement agencies to enhance their efforts to restore order and ensure that all offenders are held accountable.

Additionally, the President has urged Malawians to refrain from spreading false rumors and taking the law into their own hands.
