Home at last:150 Malawians back home

Approximately 150 Malawians escaping xenophobic violence in South Africa are set to arrive today, having been unable to return home last night due to transportation difficulties encountered during their trip.

This group is now anticipated to reach their destination this morning, as they were unable to arrive at the Zobue Border Post in Mozambique before its closing time at 9:00 p.m.

As a result, they spent the night in Tete and will continue their journey today.

Brian Wasili, spokesperson for the Mwanza District Council, stated that the returnees are now expected to arrive in the country early today.
