Man tames whole family and his own’s life

A 36-year-old man named Pilirani Lunguzi from Thyolo has reportedly taken the life of his wife, Zinenani Leonard, aged 22, along with their one-year-old daughter, before ending his own life by ingesting a toxic substance known locally as ‘Lindimu’.

As per the Thyolo Police, the remains of Leonard and her child were found at Conforzi Tea Estate on Sunday.

The postmortem examination revealed that Leonard succumbed to severe injuries, while the child was a victim of strangulation.

Authorities indicate that the couple had departed together on Saturday to gather bluegum poles prior to this tragic event.

Leonard was originally from Muliko Village, T/A Ngolongoliwa, whereas Lunguzi was from Katundu Village, T/A Chimaliro in Thyolo.
