Bullets eye solace in Zambian Coach

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has opted for Zambian Wedson Nyirenda as the new head coach of the club after finalizing personal terms.

Nyirenda comes with extensive experience, having previously managed the Zambia National Team, Zesco United, Ferroviário de Beira (on two occasions), Baroka FC, and various other clubs in the region.

The seasoned coach has an impressive track record, having won six league titles — five in Zambia and one in Mozambique — in addition to numerous domestic cup trophies.

He also led Zambia to the finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Among his notable accomplishments with Chipolopolo was steering Zambia to two remarkable victories over Algeria during his time in charge.

Bullets appears poised to secure one of Southern Africa’s most successful coaches as the new season is underway.

The side has had Gilbert Chirwa on a temporary role recent after it axed Peter Mponda.
