CDF Funds disbursed to councils

The Ministry of Finance has disbursed K7.866 billion under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to councils that have submitted the required documentation for development projects proposed by Members of Parliament in their constituencies.

In a statement, the ministry said councils that meet all the required procedures, including project identification, appraisal and procurement processes, will receive advance payments for contractors to begin implementing the projects.

Meanwhile, the ministry said it will first release funds for project preparations before disbursing the remaining funds for project implementation once all the required processes have been completed.
