Finally, Govt opens up on job recruitments
More than five months after the government imposed a freeze on public sector recruitment, ministries and government departments can now resume recruiting staff.
President Peter Mutharika announced the recruitment freeze in November last year as one of the measures aimed at managing government expenditure.
According to a letter signed by the Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Justin Saidi, ministries and government departments have been authorised to recruit for vacant positions that are considered necessary and for which funding has already been provided in the current and next financial years’ budgets.
