Husband kills his wife’s boyfriend

Police in Mchinji have arrested a 53 year old man, Maliseni Banda, and a 30 year old woman, Pilirani Wasiri, on suspicion of beating and killing Robert Pensulani, 45, allegedly out of jealousy.

Mchinji Police public relations officer, Limbani Mpinganjira has said that Pensulani was reportedly involved in an extramarital relationship with Banda’s wife.

According to Mpinganjira, the two suspects, who have been charged with murder, allegedly assaulted Pensulani and stole his motorcycle after finding him with Banda’s wife in a romantic encounter in the Mkanda area.

Pensulani had earlier been selling his goods at Sawala Market.

Meanwhile, a post-mortem examination established that Pensulani died from excessive blood loss after being hit on the head.

The deceased, hailed from Mtoso Village under Traditional Authority Gumba in Mchinji District.

Maliseni Banda is from Kambuzi Village under Traditional Authority Dzoole in Dowa District, while Pilirani Wasiri comes from Katuli Village under Traditional Authority Katuli in Mangochi District.
