Police probing alleged strange murder of Mzuzu woman

Police in Mzuzu say they are investigating reports circulating on social media claiming that a woman, Ritah Mkandawire, has been killed.

Northern Region Police Public relations Officer Cecelia Mfune, said the woman’s family reported her missing to the police yesterday.

Meanwhile, Mfune said police have been searching for the woman since the report was made.

She added that officers have since arrested some of her relatives after they allegedly changed the statements they initially gave to police regarding her disappearance.
