Kelfoods on puppy food innovation

Kelfoods is preparing to launch Protodogs Premium, a locally made puppy food aimed at improving the nutrition of developing puppies.

In a statement released ahead of the launch, Tsimi Chikoya, the Sales and Marketing Manager at Kelfoods, indicated that this initiative is part of the company’s plan to expand its selection of animal nutrition products through local manufacturing.

Chikoya mentioned that the product was developed in response to the challenges faced by many pet owners in sourcing imported puppy food, which is often expensive and has limited availability.

He also elaborated that the formulation contains 25 percent protein and is designed to support healthy growth, muscle development, strong bones, and the overall health of puppies during their early stages of life.
