Suspected thieves ruthlessly killed in Dowa
Two men have been burnt to death by an angry villagers in Davide Village under Traditional Authority Mkukula in Dowa District after they were accused of stealing a motorcycle.
Dowa Police spokesperson Sub Inspector Alice Sitima has confirmed the incident, saying officers rushed to the village after receiving a report but found the two men already dead.
Meanwhile,Sitima said an autopsy revealed that the victims died from head injuries and suffocation caused by the fire.
She added that police have launched investigations to identify those responsible so they can face the law.
