ACB, engages MIJ students on corruption reporting
Three officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today visited the Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) Blantyre Campus with the aim of educating students at the institution about corruption and their role as journalists in fighting corruption.
Speaking to Malawi Data News, ACB Public Relations Officer Jacqueline Ngongonda, says that every year, the graft bursting body makes efforts to meet journalism students from different institutions to teach them about corruption and their responsibilities as journalists, so that they can apply the knowledge in their future work.
MIJ Centre Coordinator Sydreck Chavula, has urged students at the institution to make good use of what they have learned so that, after completing their studies, they can serve the country and also write their stories proffessionally.
One of the students at the institution, Lydia Fabiano, says the lessons have helped them understand their role as journalists in the fight against corruption.
