Civo, Creck racing against time on club license

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced an increase in the number of clubs that are fully licensed this year.

According to FAM, the count has grown from 11 to 14, a development that the Competitions and Licensing Manager, Clement Kafwafwa, has characterized as a favorable indication of enhanced compliance.

Kafwafwa expressed optimism that additional clubs will fulfill licensing requirements in the forthcoming years.

The clubs that have achieved full licensing status include Mighty Wanderers, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Silver Strikers, Ekhaya FC, Red Lions, Dedza Dynamos, MAFCO, Kamuzu Barracks, Blue Eagles, Masters FC, Mitundu Baptist, Moyale Barracks, Karonga United, and Chitipa United.

Civil Service United and Creck Sporting Club have received conditional licenses due to their inability to fully satisfy the requirements.

FAM has stated that these two clubs must comply by 21 May 2026 to avoid potential point deductions.
