Nsanje Police hunting for murderers

The police in Nsanje District are actively searching for unidentified attackers believed to have killed a man, whose remains were found in a severely decomposed and dismembered condition in the Shire River within the jurisdiction of Traditional Authority Mlolo yesterday.

Nsanje Police Spokesperson, Jabulani Ng’oma, reported this morning: “Fishermen discovered the body in a significantly decomposed state, with both hands and legs severed, close to Makuluwa and DRC villages.

“The fishermen promptly informed Group Village Headman Nsambo, who then communicated the situation to officers at Fatima Police Unit,” Ng’oma stated.

He further mentioned that a postmortem examination could not be performed due to the body’s extensive decomposition and the considerable distance required to transport it.

In the meantime, Ng’oma indicated that investigations are ongoing to determine the identity of the deceased and to locate those responsible for the alleged murder.
