“I have doubts on the plane crash”- says Mary Chilima
Mary Chilima has voiced her disappointment regarding the results of the initial investigation into the plane crash on June 10, 2024, which resulted in the death of her husband, former Vice President Saulos Chilima, along with eight others.
She stated that the report left numerous questions unanswered.
During the ongoing parliamentary inquiry, Mary Chilima expressed her dissatisfaction with the preliminary investigation, contending that it fell short of expectations and did not adequately address critical issues related to the tragedy.
She further raised doubts about whether the incident was genuinely an accident, noting that the circumstances surrounding the crash continue to provoke concerns and necessitate additional examination.
Chilima’s comments come as Parliament persists in hearing testimonies from various witnesses in an effort to clarify the events leading up to, during, and following the crash of the Malawi Air Force Dornier 228 aircraft in Chikangawa Forest.
