Katengeza murder case adjourned!

The High Court in Lilongwe has adjourned to a yet to be agreed date, the murder case involving Amos and Egnat Katengeza, who are charged with the murder of their relative, Agness Katengeza, in 2023.

This postponement came after the sixth state witness, Rebecca Batison, who served as a maid for the deceased, provided her account of the events leading to Agness Katengeza’s death.

Her body was subsequently discovered in her vehicle in Lilongwe.

After her testimony, both the prosecution and defense requested the court to visit the residence of the late Agness Katengeza to gain a clearer understanding of the evidence shared by the witness, a request that was granted by High Court Judge Bruno Kalemba.
