Bingu Stadium has leeway to host CAF matches
The Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has received a significant boost as the Confederation of African Football (Caf) has issued a provisional license for the Bingu National Stadium to host its sanctioned events.
This news brings relief to Fam, as the stadium is set to accommodate the Flames’ matches during the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Additionally, Mighty Wanderers are anticipated to utilize the venue for their Caf Champions League endeavors.
Fam’s Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Chiwalo, expressed his appreciation for this development.
He assured that he would collaborate with the government to enhance the condition of the ground prior to the matches.
