Marijuana lands man in police hands

Police in Salima have arrested 27-year-old Luka Lobby for possessing three 90-kilogram bags of cannabis sativa without a permit.

Salima Police Public Relations Officer, Sub Inspector Rabecca Ndiwate, said the suspect was intercepted around 1 a.m. at Chilembwe while cycling from Nkhotakota towards Kaphatenga.

Ndiwate added that Lobby was found with three sacks, a laptop bag and a black plastic bag all containing cannabis. Ll

obby failed to produce documents authorising possession of the substance.

The suspect is in custody and will appear in court soon to answer charges of being found in possession of dangerous drugs.
